Class members, estimated in the tens of millions, could be eligible to receive up to $20 per device.

Apple has denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid prolonged litigation. The Cupertino-based company emphasized that user privacy remains a core value and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding data.

The $95 million settlement, while significant, represents about nine hours of Apple’s profits, given its net income of $93.74 billion in its latest fiscal year. The settlement also includes up to $28.5 million in legal fees and $1.1 million in expenses.
